What to Expect at Your First Visit

We understand that seeing a specialist can come with uncertainty. Whether you’re here for a second opinion, long-term care, or a very specific concern, our goal is to make your visit as comfortable, informative, and helpful as possible.

This initial appointment is a consultation with Dr. Dexter. Many of our patients are referred for complex issues, so we take the time to understand your background, goals, and any previous treatments you’ve had. We encourage you to bring your questions we’re here to help you make sense of your options.

What to Bring

To help us prepare for your visit, please bring the following:

  • Any referral forms from your general dentist or physician

  • Your dental insurance information (if applicable)
  • A valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license)

If your dentist has recent X-rays or imaging, please have their office email those to us ahead of your appointment. If no imaging is available, we may need to take new X-rays or a CT scan as needed.

What Happens During the Visit

Any imaging taken during the visit will incur an additional charge, but we make every effort to use existing records whenever possible.
